Ilana Markowitz Yoga: Tucson, AZ Ilana L. Markowitz, MSW, RYT–500, Anusara® Inspired, member IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) began practicing Hatha yoga at the age of fifteen. Since then, yoga has been a constant companion guiding her way. Ilana’s background as a psychotherapist, dancer, mother, and dedicated meditation practitioner has contributed toward her understanding of the human condition with its challenges and opportunities for healing and growth. She has experienced for herself and has seen as a teacher how yoga supports living one’s fullest life.

Yoga and meditation help to support the body and mind’s natural ability to restore balance and health. With an ongoing practice, students experience improved health, concentration, clarity, and peace of mind.
Yoga practitioners enjoy long-term physical benefits including improved circulation and immunity, greater cardiovascular endurance, pain management, increased strength, balance, flexibility, and energy.
Yoga and meditation can also lead to freedom from suffering and an increased ability to live life more fully and joyfully. Students experience clarity of purpose, spiritual direction, connection with their innate goodness, and the ability to have deeper and more fulfilling relationships.
